Is $1000 enough for wedding flowers?

Posted by Michelle Hughes on

Whether or not $1000 is enough to spend on wedding flowers depends on several factors including your location, the number of flowers you want at your wedding, and how much of your overall budget will be dedicated to flowers.

We would suggest that $1000 is a good starting point for personal wedding flowers.  Personal wedding flowers are those that will be carried by the bride, her bridesmaids, the groom and groomsmen, and anyone else that is in the wedding party.  A bridal bouquet can cost anywhere from $200 to $800 alone, depending on the size and types of flowers used.  Bridesmaid's bouquets usually run in the $75 to $125 range each while boutonnieres will run around $35 each.

With the current cost of flowers and the overall wedding flower market we suggest that $1000 is very light for wedding flowers.  At the end of the day your expectations should be tempered by your budget.  It's easy to look at styled shoots that costs tens of thousands online and want a similar look, but with that look comes a similar price.

If you are having a small wedding with just a few participants, then $1000 could easily work.  Bloomstall's minimum budget for on-site wedding design and install is $5000 but we do have À la carte Wedding Flower options that would be suitable for a $1000 personal wedding flower budget.  If you are a bride-to-be in middle Tennessee, contact us a for a personalized wedding floral quote.
