There are many factors involved in deciding on your wedding floral budget. It all depends on how much you want to spend on your entire wedding, and how important flowers are to you at your event. Keeping in mind that food may be important, but you probably won't look back fondly on photographs of the food from your wedding, except the cake of course. Flowers are an integral party of almost any wedding celebration. They enhance the entire experience and make for wonderful photography fodder.
A "normal amount" to spend on your wedding flowers is relative to how much you will be spending overall. A generally accepted rule in the wedding industry is 10% of your overall wedding budget. It's important to remember however that this only covers your basics and if you have an extended number of bridesmaids, table settings, or add-ons like arches the percentage will be higher.
Here is a rough breakdown of what each piece of a wedding flower package will cost when you hire a professional florist.
Bridal Bouquet $275-$400
